Document Scanner

Document Scanner lets you point at any document — a letter, receipt, menu, sign, or notice — and have VISION read it aloud. It also generates a short summary and saves everything to your mobile app for later.

How to Use

Point the glasses at the document and say:

  • “Scan document”

Chinese: “扫描文档”

What to Expect

Example

You: “Scan document”

VISION: “Scanning…”

VISION: “Dear Mr. Ahmad, your appointment at KPJ Hospital has been scheduled for March 15th at 10 AM. Please bring your IC and insurance card.”

VISION: “Summary: Hospital appointment on March 15th at 10 AM. Bring IC and insurance.”

Skipping and Cancelling

While VISION is reading the document, you can:

  • Single tap — skip the current sentence
  • Double tap — stop reading entirely
  • Triple tap — cancel the whole operation

Where Scanned Documents Go

All scanned documents appear in the Documents section of your mobile app. You can:

  • Re-read the full text at any time
  • View the AI-generated summary
  • See the original photo
  • Share the document with your caretaker through chat

Tips for Best Results

  • Hold the document roughly 30-50 cm from your face
  • Make sure there’s good lighting — a desk lamp or daylight works best
  • Keep the document flat and steady for a moment during scanning
  • VISION handles printed text, handwriting, and mixed layouts
