Setup & First Use

Step 1 — Download the App

Download the VISION companion app on your Android phone:

After downloading, your phone may ask you to enable “Install from unknown sources” for your browser. This is normal for apps outside the Play Store.

Step 2 — Create an Account

  1. Open the VISION app
  2. Select your role:
    • VIP — if you are the person wearing the glasses
    • Caretaker — if you are a family member or guardian
  3. Register with email or Google Sign-In
  4. Complete phone verification (OTP)

Step 3 — Pair the Glasses

  1. Power on the glasses — you’ll hear “Setting up your VISION glasses”
  2. The glasses will announce each startup step
  3. In the mobile app, go to Pair Device
  4. Scan the QR code shown on screen, or let the glasses detect your phone via Bluetooth
  5. Once paired, the glasses say: “Welcome back, [your name]!”

Step 4 — Start Using

Once paired, the glasses are ready. Hold the button and speak a command — VISION responds in about 10 seconds.

Try these:

  • “What do you see?”
  • “Start detection”
  • “Navigate to [place]”
  • “Send message”
  • “Scan document”
  • “Help”

Languages

VISION supports three languages:

  • English
  • Chinese (Mandarin) — e.g. “识别物体”, “导航”, “查看消息”
  • Malay

You can switch your primary language in the mobile app under Settings.

Button Controls

Emergency Shutdown

To turn the glasses off safely, just say:

  • “Goodbye”, “Shutdown”, “Exit”, or “退出”

VISION confirms and safely powers down.
