VISION uses a Raspberry Pi-powered camera system with AI models to detect objects, recognize faces, and understand your environment. You interact with it using natural voice commands, and it responds with clear audio feedback through the built-in speaker.
VISION can detect over 80 types of objects including people, vehicles, furniture, food, animals, and everyday items. It can also recognize familiar faces that you've registered, and read text from documents, signs, and labels.
The glasses work independently for core features. However, the companion mobile app enhances the experience by allowing you to register faces, save favorite locations, manage documents, and stay connected with caretakers.
Caretakers download the VISION app and link with the VIP user. They can then monitor location in real-time, receive safety alerts, send voice messages, and view scanned documents — all while respecting the user's privacy and independence.
VISION currently supports English and Mandarin Chinese for voice commands and text-to-speech. We're working on adding more languages in future updates.
Core features like object detection and obstacle warnings work offline. However, navigation, face recognition sync, and caretaker communication require an internet connection via WiFi or mobile hotspot.
